Lincoln Park Zoo is temporarily closed until further notice following city and state recommendations to help slow the spread of coronavirus.  Unfortunately, this impacts registrations for future Learning programs and Zoo events.  

Our top priority is the health and safety of our staff, guests, volunteers, and, of course, the animals in our care. It is the zoo’s responsibility to do what we can to help reduce the rapidity of the spread of COVID-19. It is with safety in mind, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all on-grounds camp programs for summer 2020.

Essential animal care staff will remain on site to care for the nearly 200 species that call the zoo home. While our expert veterinary staff advises that COVID-19 remains primarily a virus of human concern, we are carefully monitoring all animals in our care. At this time, we have no reason to believe any zoo animal is at risk.

Board Member and Donor Club registration: Weds., Feb. 5 @ 10 a.m. through Tues., Feb. 11 @ 2:55 p.m. Registration links will then close for a short period and reopen on Feb. 12 @ 10 a.m.

Safari Member registration: Weds., Feb. 12 @ 10 a.m. and will close Weds., Feb. 26 @ 9:15 a.m. to prepare for open registration at 10 a.m. Individual and Household Members

Open registration: Weds., Feb. 26 @ 10 a.m.

Please complete the full registration process once you begin, or the session may time out and your registration will be lost.

What to expect during the registration process:

• Camper Grade: Campers are to be registered for their rising grade in the fall 2020 by a legal guardian only. Campers must be 4 years old before camp start date.

• Terms & Agreements: Upon clicking the Register button, you will be directed to terms and agreements to comply with in order to proceed.

• Needed Information: Be prepared to include emergency contact information, names of adults approved to pick up your camper, camper birth date and health information, and a current zoo member ID if you are a zoo member to receive the member discount.

• Sold-out Camps: If a camp is sold-out, camper will automatically be placed on a waitlist at no cost.  The word "waitlisted" will be indicated on selection page.  Payment due upon acceptance.

• After Care: After Care is by pre-registration only and, new this year, sold separately during registration.  It is available to all full-day campers and half-day preK-K afternoon campers. After Care is to be selected as a separate cart item for each week desired.* If After Care is sold-out, camper will automatically be placed on an After Care waitlist at no cost.  The word "waitlisted" will be indicated on selection page. Families will be contacted via email if openings occur. Payment due upon acceptance. The After Care waitlist is separate from the camp program waitlist.
  *Zoo Crew families: if after care is desired for both weeks of the 2-week Zoo Crew program, be sure to select each corresponding week for two weeks of After Care.

• NEW THIS YEAR: PreK-K campers may choose a half-day or full-day program.  PreK-K campers may be registered for the half-day program in either the morning OR the afternoon session, but not both in the same day week.
