Zoo Investigations (virtual program) Scholarship Application
for grades K-5
NOTE: Zoo Investigations is a web-based (virtual) program.
(Zoo Explorers is the in-person, on-grounds program - information here.)
The objective of this scholarship is to provide Chicago-based classes with the opportunity to participate in a Zoo Investigations program with Lincoln Park Zoo. Dates are subject to availability if scholarship is awarded.
During this web-based program, your students will take on the role of zoo scientists in this interactive virtual program series facilitated online by a zoo educator. They will develop their science skills as they make observations, gather data, and propose solutions to authentic animal care challenges.
This program does not include live animals, though footage and images of animals in Lincoln Park Zoo’s care will be a part of the program.
Lincoln Park Zoo will provide scholarship recipients with Zoo Investigations programs with a maximum capacity of 35 students per program. Staff will work with you to determine the best platform for you and your students.
Scholarships are limited, and submitting a scholarship application does not guarantee receipt of a scholarship. Lincoln Park Zoo awards scholarships based on the application essay and needs of students.
